At Parsons x Parley, David De Rothschild, founder of The Lost Explorer, and Stephan Crasneanscki, founder of Soundwalk Collective, presented JUNGLE-IZED, an immersive audio experience set in Times Square.

JUNGLE-IZED is a creation of Soundwalk Collective in collaboration with A Voice for Nature, featuring Amazon rainforest sound environments recorded by Francisco Lopez. The app and multi-sensory experience encourages a conversation with nature, heightening awareness of the environmental impacts of climate change.

Throughout the month of April, visitors were transported from the concrete jungle of New York City to the heart of the Amazon rainforest via an interactive sound installation. The free JUNGLE-IZED app is your ticket to a self-guided audio tour through an eight-square-block ecosystem and virtual rainforest soundscape.

Each night from 11:57 pm to midnight, the electronic billboards of Times Square were JUNGLE-IZED. A special “Midnight Moment” occurred on Earth Day, where visitors were encouraged to join David De Rothschild and other collaborators in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, via Times Square.

Together we can give nature a voice.
