Parley for the Oceans and the Government of Andhra Pradesh announce the official launch of Parley India, with a massive beach cleanup along the coast of Visakhapatnam. The area being cleaned spans across 28 km (over 14 beaches and 8 villages) and aims to host over 20,000 volunteers.
The event marks the start of a new alliance in the movement to protect the oceans, and all who depend on them, from the threat of plastic pollution — an issue closely linked to the global climate crisis.
